Kokomo Joe's® all started by me being cheap. I found it was cheaper to buy barstools than to buy living room furniture, yes it started out in my living room. Five guys cramped on a couch watching football or five barstools? Barstools it is! I built a bar out of some left over wood in my garage and painted it with left over paint from my bedroom walls. Placed a mini fridge under the bar and mounted a tv on the wall behind the bar.
Then of course I had to add another t.v. for the authentic bar feel, then more decor to follow.
Eventually the Sunday Football parties got bigger and Turned into Friday and Saturday Night BIG BASHES. So for more space the bar was disassembled and moved to the garage where I was able to paint the walls and barstools with bright colors to give it all a tropical atmosphere.
Suddenly the need arose to be able to provide access to all of the pictures and for information about the next upcoming party, thus the websites were born. As you can see by the pictures, the parties just keep getting bigger and bigger. The next step in the journey of Kokomo Joe's® is to find a suitable location for the greatest Tiki Bar around, the details of which will remain a secret until that day comes. Until then, I will see you at the next great party and may your glass never go dry. Bottoms Up!
